I purchased a certified 2011 Jeep Liberty with a warranty from Colorado Chrysler and complained incessantly about the lack of heat in the front of the truck. Every time I changed the oil I complained and finally they tested it and had the audacity to discover that the radiator had pink sludge in it. I assured them that they were the only ones who could have put fluid in the radiator! When I refused to pay for the testing I asked to speak with the mechanic. He indicated that sludge in the radiator is a known Jeep issue that the company is not acknowledging.
I was extremely upset and insisted that there is no way that this should be my problem as the Jeep owner when the vehicle was certified. It was suggested that I contact the corporate offices to express my discontent. The only thing I will give the dealer credit for is that they diagnosed without me paying and I am inclined to believe that is indicative that they knew the service they provided was not worth $128.00. Think how many JEEPS are diagnosed with this, pay $128.00 and then $2500.00 to get radiator replaced. I am infuriated because now that the warranty is out and I doubt this would have been covered or I would like to think that they would have repaired it.
I am stuck with this piece of Jeep! I contacted the corporate offices and of course, this is not a known issue, my problem, so fricking sorry. Yes, JEEP SUCKS and if I am fortunate enough to trade this piece of Jeep, I will unload it like it was unloaded on me by Colorado Chrysler. I took it to a radiator shop and technician indicated that a service like that should not be even problematic until at least 75,000 to 100,000 miles, indicated it had to be a malfunction with JEEP. JEEP SUCKS....
