I was hit on my passenger front, while attempting to cross into a parking lot, so hard until my tire rod bent at a 90* angle. My passenger airbag didn't deploy. None of my airbags deployed. There was no blind spot warning. Even after the impact, there was no alarm or notification of the damage, as the firemen were attempting to drive my car out of the road.

The sky slider on my Jeep is broken cause leaking when it rains. Called multiple dealerships and companies that say they don't have any replacement parts or pieces to fix the issue. There is a social media group that shows many other Jeep Liberty's that have the same issue and due to the top being broken, tops have flown off while on highway causing damage to vehicle-major safety hazard. I'm going to continue to call around and see if I can find a resolution but I'm praying my top stays on until then. In the photos, you can see where I had to clamp the top shift which has slowed the leaking for now.

I purchased a 2012 Jeep Liberty with a slider roof. When attempting to close the slider using the controls, the roof would no longer close completely, which has caused water damage to the interior of the vehicle and I would imagine may have also caused electrical issues. Things like the dash lights, wipers, and seat randomly come on on their own. My concern, and from the research I have done on this issue, is that the roof is not securely attached which is concerning when you are driving at higher speeds on the pike or rt 128. Just last week when driving my daughter back to college, there were several loud clicking noises while we were on rt 128 and I honestly thought the roof was going to fly off. This appears to have been a known issue by Jeep Chrysler and is a real safety hazard that they are not willing or able to correct.

I own a 2012 Jeep Liberty jet with a slider roof. This is a specific type of roof that I just found out that in Feb 2019 has been discontinued. My roof does not work and not only is it leaking it will not close all the way. When I drive on the highway it begins to come open even when I have it taped down. I have a huge fear that it is going to fly off while driving over 65mph. If this should happen again (it started to happen one time and luckily I had a friend in the front seat who was able to hold it down) I fear someone could really get hurt or even killed. Jeep is taking no responsibility for this issue with this type of roof and no longer even offers the parts to fix it. I have been told that I would have to seek a 3rd party and the roof would need to be soldered off and replaced, but they would not do it nor would they offer any sort of compensation for the ill-constructed product. This is not right! I am not alone with this issue and I do not want to see anyone get hurt for a very important part of a car not working.

The sky slider roof became detached when driving on a highway. My children were in the car when this happened. The only parts available to fix this issue is an aftermarket product. This concerns me due to not knowing how well this part is made. Considering Chrysler has taken the parts off of the market, it appears they are aware of the defects and safety issues. I am unable to drive my car for fear the roof will blow off while I am driving it. There are no recalls currently for this and I am shocked.

The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Liberty. While driving various speeds, the sky slider unintentionally opened. As a result, the vehicle had water damage, which caused electrical failure and various unknown warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to brown's Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram (483 NY-112, East patchogue, NY 11772, (888) 615-2184) where the contact was informed that the parts for the failure were discontinued. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.

This vehicle has a slider roof. The electrical part works fine (truth is I only used the roof a handful of times) but somehow -I believe from a car wash the slider roof came off track. I was told by Jeep that the only way to fix the issue is to replace the entire roof. My warranty will not cover it since the electrical part still works. Jeep would only fix it for $3,000. The car is not worth fixing for that much money. When I was driving down the highway air got caught up under the soft roof and started to open I had to pull over and manually pull it closed. I have a huge fear that it is going to blow off. The slider roof is a terrible design and could cause a major problem when the entire roof blows off due to this design.

I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty. The sky slider has never sealed properly since I purchased it. I took it into Jeep 3X for wind noise complaints (you can barely hear yourself talk inside the car when you are driving over 40mph) and each time I was told there was nothing wrong. About 6 months ago the sky slider roof stopped operating. I took it to Jeep to be fixed but they told me "you are lucky it is closed. Leave it closed. We have some in the back of the shop that are stuck open and we can't get replacement parts". I took it to another Jeep dealer who looked into this more for me. I have an extended warranty and Jeep had someone come out to confirm that the sky slider was indeed inoperable and approve the repair work to be done and confirm that the part was under warranty. Unfortunately they also told me that they can't get the part from Jeep as it is discontinued. I filed a complaint with Jeep and received an fca number, but unfortunately every time I call or they call me the answer is the same. The part is under review and they are not sure if they are going to make it anymore. Two days ago while driving at 55mph, the sky slider roof literally popped open. I had to quickly pull over in 3 lanes of traffic to try to get it to close. Unfortunately it will not seal and now has a gaping hole in the roof which renders it inoperable and not only that, the interior of the car is now exposed to the elements. It is unheard of that Jeep will not stand behind their product. The roof is warrantied (which I paid for) yet they have no answers for consumers and refuse to address the problem. I have read hundreds of similar complaints on the internet. I am not sure what my next step is here except to file suit with Jeep.

I was involved in an accident in my 2012 Jeep Liberty when another driver pulled left I front of me to make their right turn into a parking lot. My truck drove over hi and on the way down struck a parked car and flipped over on to its hood. The entire interior caved in directly on to my head and not a single air bag deployed. I was hospitalized and was already handicapped so this exacerbated my injuries pronouncedly and the increased pain, both physical and mental, led to my wife leaving, loss of employment, family, you name it and it's been lost because of this accident. When you see pics, you'll understand why paramedics were shocked I was alive at all. -[xxx] (1st 2 pics are exterior, 3rd pic is of my driver's seat itself and how I managed avoiding being split in 1/2 is beyond me.) information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). Lift gate hatch mechanism parts continue to fail without warning not allowing exit/entry into hatch in case of emergency or access to spare tire and jack. I have had parts replaced three times. This lift gate is operated manually. This happens in numerous weather conditions and temperatures. This is noted while the car is stationary. This has been reported to Jeep, without resolution.

I was coming home from work, as I turned onto my exit there was a pop sound and then it started hissing and smoking. I slowed down and pulled over and got out of the vehicle. It started to smoke, caught on fire and burned totally up before my eyes. I have only had this vehicle for six (6) months.

While I was driving on I-70 E, I noticed that the vehicle approaching me from behind, was traveling at a high rate of speed so I swerved to the right shoulder and the other vehicle swerved to the left lane and then back across the right lane over to the shoulder and struck my 2012 Jeep Liberty on the drivers side from the front to the rear probably at a speed between 60 - 75. With that impact I received whiplash & injury to my left arm, left hand, neck & shoulder. I did not received a recall notice N38 until late December 2013 and the accident occurred on September 3, 2013, so I called Chrysler and told them about the accident and asked if this recall could effect the air bag from not deploying, the lady didn't know and said she would file a report. I received a letter stating, "while the purpose of the air bag is to deploy when the major direction of the impact is from the front of the vehicle towards the back of the vehicle" & "the vehicle damage may lead you to believe that the air bag should have deployed, how ever, this can be deceiving." It also stated that large amounts of fender or sheet metal damage indicate that the crumple zone in the front of the vehicle did their job and as a result the air bags were not needed. So I placed two different calls to Chrysler dealers and also went in person to one and ask them "if I didn't get this recall fixed, (which the recall notice had not been sent out when the accident happened) if it could cause the air bag not to deploy, " and all three of the men told me yes it could cause the air bags not to deploy or something even worst, which the one man stated "it could even kill you." I believe as hard as I was hit, and with the injuries I received, that the air bags should of deployed and maybe I wouldn't have been injured as much. It has been over 4 months since the accident and my injuries are still present. Sincerely
