Fuel sensors keep turning engine light on. 1st time, dealer had to order part that took 2 months to receive requiring two trips to dealer. Extended service plan covered all but $50.00 deductible. Car is currently at the dealer waiting on the second fuel system sensor (different) part. For some reason extended service plan won't cover this one. Total cost to be $119.00. Don't know why Jeep can't make parts last longer than 100,000 mi. at least.

When I bought this 2012 Liberty, it had no engine lights. The next day, after purchase, the engine light comes on. I go to the local auto store where they tell me that the emission sensor is bad, basically that the gas cap isn't on there tight enough. I knew this was crap - I make sure the cap is tight. Sure enough, whenever I get gas, the lid will not stay tight. And this with the other issues I am having - Jeep isn't doing what I need to keep me loyal.
Ok, I bought my 2012 Jeep Liberty in May 2019, used from a dealer. Drove her 8 MONTHS when the ETC light came on, then went off. Then she died all together. Dealership (different dealership) said she needed a new engine because the oil was burned and mine had locked up. Her engine locked up because... the radiator was full of sludge. So she needs a new radiator. OH AND she needs a new heater core because hers was full of...SLUDGE!!!!!
So, here I am having to pay for the repairs because I at first accused the dealership I bought her from of not doing the right thing. Only to be told this is a JEEP issue. I owned an 2008 Jeep Liberty from her "birth" to her "death", thanks to Harvey, almost 10 years now and never had this kind of issue. NEVER!!! I went BACK to JEEPS because I had 2 other cars not work for me!
NOW I was told that Jeep Wranglers have a class action lawsuit for the sludge. Does this also include the Libertys? I would like someone else to pay for the repairs - I am about to for mine.
