My front and rear cross members are corroded. I took it to the dealer I purchased the car from. They told me I had to call Chrysler, which took forever and a day to get back to me (about 10 days). For them to tell me it was not something they feel is necessary to fix. If I want I could have the dealer do it, and pay out of my pocket. After doing some research, this seems to be a problem with the Patriots, and some Jeep in general. This is not a fix I can afford, not can I get a new car at this time. Mechanics at the dealer were shocked Chrysler did not approve this, since it is a safety issue.
