When it rains outside, don't go anywhere because the car will stall. It acts like it will stop running then all of a sudden it jumps back into gear. If there is moisture in the air you can bet the car will act up. The car dealer replaced the seal around my sunroof said it was leaking but that wasn't the problem. They put it on the machine to detect the problem but said there was not a thing wrong with. Now the dealer wants me to pay for an oxygen sensor but the problem was why back at 18000 miles. What will that solve. Called CHYSLERS HEADQUARTERS but they never heard of a problem like that and never helped to fix the problem so here I am with a lemon. Went to North Carolina this pass holiday it rained the dashbroard went haywire lights going on and off but couldn't get key out of the ign.plus had to drive without no electrical power. But the car has no problem.Did I make this car or did Chysler. Need help anyone with this problem?

My husband and I have bought Jeeps for many years and when there have never been problems...the fix is easy and not overly expensive. However, when we started having problems with the Jeep 2007 Patriot....the Jeep dealership became our worst enemy....From the sudden stopping in humid weather...to the gas engine sounding like a diesel engine and with the transmission shuddering when shifting from 2 to 3 gear.....The dealership kept saying there was nothing wrong....on top of it...they kept charging us for diagnostic check after diagnostic check!
They falsely reported maintenance that needed to be performed (example, brakes need to be replaced when they were still at 40%, etc) Finally, on top of it all, the dealership wants to charge us $200 for a computer software upgrade!!!!!! But according to them there is still nothing wrong with the vehicle. We would have never bought a Jeep Patriot if the dealership EVER gave us this sort of run around with our Cherokee. Considering this seems to be a obvious problem with other Patriots....it seems that Jeep does not want to admit design flaws in fear of a very costly recall.
It seems that Jeep does not fear me trading in my Jeep for....um .....maybe a RAV4???
