The contact owns a 2010 Jeep Patriot. The contact stated that the driver's side air bag warning indicator illuminated when the vehicle was started. The contact had to wait approximately four seconds to turn the vehicle off and back on in order for the driver's side air bag indicator to turn off. The vehicle was taken to carl burger Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram world (8355 hercules St, la mesa, ca 91942) where it was diagnosed that the clockspring for the driver's air bag failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was currently being repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
