My complaint is that there is a well-documented faulty CVT in the 2011 Jeep Patriot requiring an endless perpetuation of replacements since it cannot be repaired. I will go so far as to say it is a scam, the way that Chrysler/Jeep is sentencing its customers to buying transmission after transmission for life, or until the customer runs out of money to pay for it. The customer does not really know what they are signing up for when they buy a Jeep with a CVT transmission. If I had known then what I know now, I never would have bought it. I have a vehicle that will not run unless I spend half of what I paid for it for a new transmission which will probably go bad within a few years, once again. I want Jeep to take responsibility for this so I can move on with my life.

I have gone through 3 transmission on this jeep... owning it ONE year! There seriously needs to be a recall on these POS CVT transmissions ...

This Jeep Patriot anniversary edition has been a wretched mess from the beginning. Windshield problems. The door panel fell off due to faulty clips. The power windows failed. AC problems. Paint problems. The worst thing is the CVT transmission and the fact that I almost died or could have died as a result of transmission failure.
My father retired from Chrysler. He was proud to have worked for Chrysler. I bought this Jeep right before he died. He would be embarrassed now.
I never heard of a CVT transmission. I had no idea I bought a death trap.
