In 50 years of ownership of new and used cars, I have never experienced a broken tie rod! Tires were ruined as well. I believe that these were cheap foreign made parts, and, given the amount of similar complaint on various Chrysler products, the problem is likely to happen again. It is dangerous and potentially life threatening! Chrysler should stand behind the failure of such a vital part at such an early mileage!
The car is registered in my wife's name, Janice L Forster, who has owned a Jeep Cherokee prior to this.
