Well, would you believe that my 2012 Jeep Patriot Limited with only 28000 miles on it is back in the dealer shop for yet again. For the fifth time sun roof water leak and yes, once again the carpet and the head liner and the GPS radio, along with the AC controls and front two seats are needing to be replaced. Dealer said they will fix and called me back two days later saying it was ready to be pick up.
When I got there the AC did not work, the carpets still smelled like mildew, the head liner was not replaced nor my GPS radio. I refused delivery of my Jeep in that condition and the dealer said he was sorry for all of those, please take the rental car on us and we will call you when its fixed...
I'm still in the rental car and I have contacted Jeep HQ and opened a case with them for possible buy back or customer discount incentive (CDI) From what I see on the law, having this kind of defect just three times constitutes a lemon or buy back solution... I will get my lawyers on it if i have to.
In the end I will not be pushed around. I will win this and I will let you nice people know what it took to win .... If you have anything that could or would help me, please let me know. We have to stick together on these kinds of things.. Thanks for your time I hope this helps some and God bless....

I had the vehicle back to 2 different dealers a total of 4 times. One dealer told me that before it rains or before a car wash I need to clean the drains?? I don't park under any trees, what a ----. Told me some cars are just touchy! It would rain inside my car through the light fixtures! That was just one of the many problems that a 1 year old car should not have.
I contacted Chrysler only to be told to try another dealer. Had numerous other issues with it and finally just traded it. Will never buy another Chrysler product again!! I have spread the word throughout. Nickname for my car was the Death Trap.

Scheduled a tune-up for the 2012 Jeep Patriot today. Was not given a courtesy car for the day, but offered to rent one for $35.00. Was told the sunroof could be looked at by an outside vendor. Later in the day, was called and informed the vendor would be at the dealership in the afternoon. Then I was told there would be a $110 charge to look at it. They need to be paid for their time to look at the obvious problem that Jeep created by not providing a quality product. On a side note, the $110 fee was not disclosed at the initial scheduling. The end result, I declined to have the vendor look at the sunroof. I will be writing Jeep. I have been either a Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep owner since I was 16. I am now 52 and on my 4th Jeep. Using my husband's experience as a VW driver, I will be buying a VW as my next car and one for my daughter in two years when she starts driving. Their service is stellar and they back their product, something I sadly did not experience with Jeep today.
