I bought my Jeep brand new paid in full and all I have had is nothing but trouble from day one. I won't go into every single thing that has gone wrong with this Jeep! However now it is the rainy season and I am not looking forward to both sides of my front floorboard flooding once again. It takes just about the amount of time that the next rainy season comes back the smell of mold and mildew that I'm highly allergic to finally wear off. I can't afford another vehicle because I thought I would have this maybe for the rest of my life. It's a piece of junk. This should be recalled and I should get my money back! Advice - PLEASE DO NOT buy a Jeep Patriot .You will end up getting robbed $21,000 !

I've had my Jeep since October and I would notice in the back there would be water but I could never figure out where it was coming from. Then I noticed when it would rain that my passenger side floor board, front and back, would be soaking wet. I took it in to the dealership that I got it from and they said they couldn't find anything. Its been about a week since I had it in to the dealer and now the driver side is all wet and the light in the back on the ceiling was full of water. I took it back and told them they where going to have to send it somewhere to get checked out.

Bought the Jeep used in October of 2016 and the very next day after a light rain I noticed that there was water in the on the cargo mat. Thought that it had dripped in from when I first opened the hatch but then realized that there was water on the light. I then popped the flashlight out to look and there was water on it. Looking back I should have called the dealership and asked about it.

I've lost count of how many times it has happened and there is no telling how many times that I have not noticed it.

Now after a long week of rain I have finally taken it in to the dealership to have it looked at. They told me that the manufacture warranty is out and that it will be $130 for them to remove the headliner and look for the problem. It's not my fault that Jeep continues to make a vehicle that leaks and told them I wasn't going to pay.

I also have an extended warranty but apparently they do not cover "leaks".

I think that this is complete BS for this to be happening. Seems as many complaints as there are about this and for how long it has been going on they would have a solution to this but apparently not.

I have a 2014 Jeep Patriot, that Leaks when it rains. Yippie for me. I took it to the dealer and told them of my issues but I'm out of warranty 4,000 miles ago so I was quoted a $1000.00 to look at it and $300 an hour to fix the problem. Who has this kind of money to just look at it. I, however, have mold in my back seat due to the fact I pretty much have to wear rain boots if sitting in the front or back passenger seats.

For a car to be a little over a year old, bought it new, and Jeep not to stand behind their product is ridiculous. i'm middle class i have no money to put into a car people state they try and fix just to have it start leaking again. So I have tried to trade this in, what a joke, it's only worth $11,000 when I still owe $18,000, but of course, so need $6,000 down, funny. At this point I just want it to go back. I hate my child has to sit in the back seat and after it rains it smells like mildew. I have to say I hate Jeep.

When I got this Jeep it only had a short time before the manufactures warranty ran out and the dealer only gave me a 90 day. So when my Dad passed away on Feb. 17th I had a plate full and could not deal with this "small" problem. The following Sunday, the 22nd, the temp warmed up enough that the leak got worse and my warranty ran out the following day. Since then the leak has got a lot worse and get the fabric wet all around the light about 4-5 inches out.

What I do not understand is that I read that this has been a problem for the Patriot for 8 years. Come on, get off your keesters and fix this problem and recall all the Patriots, it turns into electrical problems too. Water and electric do not mix. I am very disappointed in the Patriot. I knew I should have stuck to the Liberty.

I just purchased a 2014 Jeep Patriot Limited, I was very happy driving home as to think I just bought my first new vehicle! The fact it was a JEEP was more exciting as most of my buddies have or have had Jeeps.They were all very pleased with there new Jeeps.

A few days later me and my five year old son were riding around when he told me his seat was rocking.....Well, they were not bolted down from the factory, that was shocking to hear so immediately my Jeep went into the shop. The next day I went to hop into my Jeep on a rainy day to notice water dripping from the rear interior light and headliner!! Yay, so I check it out but have to drive to work so when I pull away water is now pouring out onto the rear hatch and window. Note there are speakers in the back hatch that are soaking wet and now have distorted sound. So I bring the Patriot back to the dealer, where they assure me they will fix the problem.

One week after they have fixed the problem I'm still having issues. Water has collected now in the front lights and rear light, water fills my leather seats with water, which are now ruined. I also now do not have a satellite connection most likely due to an electrical short. My floorboards are soaking wet and so are the headliner and rear seats. I hope Chrysler recalls this issue and compensates their longtime customers and tries to regain the trust of their new customers. I will be contacting a lemon law lawyer to help resolve my issues.

First off, the dealer didn't detail the Jeep because it was so late so I took it thru the car wash, being a black vehicle I wanted it to really shine. So basically driving it off the lot (brand new) driving home and going to the work the next day and while I was in the car wash I noticed water running in from the cargo light in the rear. I was like what the hell? In the mean time the finance guy called to tell me they got me a lower interest rate. So I let them know about the leak. Going in that afternoon the owner had them take me directly to the service department. Left it to get resealed. Got it home and the next day boom, leaking again, no car wash this time just a heavy downpour. Before I can even the service dept back on the phone for another app. the engine light comes on and throws a P219A (Fuel to air ratio imbalance) I will complain about in another complaint. I have owned the jeep for less than 2 weeks, under 400 miles and it's been in service twice already. I can say that the dealer has been very helpful. They gave me a new car to drive off the lot. I am supposed to pick up it up today.

I just purchased a 2014 jeep patriot, and I have noticed in the cargo area it has been wet every time it rains. First I thought maybe from when I opened the tailgate door it was running in, so I started to watch it. I went in the house, checked the cargo area it was dry, it rained overnight. I came out in the morning checked it again, and its soaked, bottom of the cargo area, and the roof all around the cargo light. I just bought this brand new, only have had about 2 weeks. Have been reading that apparently this is a problem with the patriots, Planning to call dealer today.

Update from Jun 17, 2014: called dealer had be bring it to the dealer, they had it for a full Saturday, stated it was leaking from antenna, that they can not just reseal the antenna, that they had to order another, and it would be there Monday so I would have to bring it back then. dropped off sunday night, Monday car still not fixed, apparently the part did not come in until late in the day, so still there are of today, This is very hard as I work over an hour away. Never was I offered a loaner. I just hope this is fixed, as I see several people have to make several trips and its never fixed.
