The 2014 Jeep Patriot is a very dangerous vehicle when the engine misses, bucks, throttle light goes on then stalls. This all happens while highway driving. The car has to be turned off, sit for a few minutes, then restarted. This serious situation puts me in danger as well as other drivers, while I try to maneuver the car to the side of the highway to turn it off, then restart it. This is the third time this has happened. The problem did not show up on the tester of the mechanic, until he did more testing and found the throttle body can stick if there is dirt in it. Chrysler is aware of this problem through the many complaints, and has chosen not to issue a recall. Are they waiting to have someone die before it is addressed? Ford has issued a recall for the 2011 Mercury Mariner with this same problem!!! Why doesn't Chrysler do the same.
