While driving, the check engine light, the electronic throttle sensor light and the ABS light came on. As a result, the engine loses power, the transmission is choppy and I cant drive faster than 20-30 miles per hour. If I turn the car off and restart, the sensor light and ABS light goes off, the check engine light stays on and the car runs normal. After five minutes, the aforementioned lights come back on and the engine returns to its subnormal running conditions. There is no specific explanation for this problem and according to Jeep's forums, it is a common problem among all Jeep models.

My car was parked at home in parking lot. I used car earlier during the morning and had no problems with it. During the afternoon I went outside to crank car and it started with no problems. I then realized I forgot something in my home and turned car off took key out the ignition and went to retrieve what I had forgotten. I came back out not even 30 seconds, attempted to crank car and the dash board lights, ac came on, but car would not crank. It made no noise to indicate it was trying to turn over nothing. After trying a few times I called geico to have someone come out to possibly jump start the car, but that person tested the battery, oil, alternator, and started and said none of them were a problem. I then ordered a tow truck thru geico, he arrived about an hour later and he immediately sat in vehicle and car cranked with no problems. The engine light on dash also disappeared. The next day I took the vehicle to have it checked again and I have a print out that shows that neither the battery, starter, alternator or engine oil were a factor. I haven't had any other issues with the car cranking since that day. No one seems to know why it would not start.

I am driving the Jeep is on the highway, doing 60 mph one week after I had bought the Jeep in May 2016 and it automatically started going faster on it's own, with the RPM indicator going clockwise. It would not slow down on its own so I had to drive to the access road and put emergency brake on. Once I was able to start the vehicle again it reset itself and performed normally. This has occurred 5 times since I have owned it, including July 25, 2018 when it happened again last week. Last year I had it checked and was told a sensor light was out, so they "fixed" it. It is still happening. The dashboard indicators are constantly flashing. They told me they reset them also. It is still occurring, also

Two things are wrong with my Jeep and have been since the first week I've had it, but the newport power dealer keeps telling me that "if there ever was anything wrong with the car, it fixed itself". bs nothing is fixed! so the first thing is the safety seatbelt sensor's. when I have a passenger up front and they're buckled up it keeps beeping saying that they're not buckled up. Doesn't happen every time I have a passenger but it's super annoying and happens mostly while driving in town. The second thing is that since the first week I've had the Jeep, the engine keeps stalling and other times acts like it's going to die but doesn't. ( newport power dealer told me this issue was due to poor gas mixtures during different times of the year. I'm not stupid and know that's not the issue, I have three other cars that do not do this at all!) the car stalls so far only while stopped at lights, in driveway's, drive through etc. This happens multiple times a week. While driving either in town, turning corners, driving straight or on the highway, the Jeep acts as if it's going to die. This happens frequently while driving. Also my back windshield has been leaking since I got the car but the power deler says it's fine. I'm very tired of hearing bs from the power dealer here in newport Oregon, I have an extended warranty and I think they just don't want to honor it! these issues have been happening since I bought the car in 2016 to today in 2018.

While driving slowly (~10 mph) sb I prepared to make a right-turn (wb), in the only lane that turns right. As I neared the intersection the light turned green, enabling me and the (1) lane on my left to go (it goes sb). No car was ahead of me (to turn). The street I was turning onto had one (wb) lane, and two lanes (stopped), that go eb. Note: (may be relevant), I frequently down-shift (automatic) transmissions (using the "paddles" or "buttons", whatever's on the shift column), on all automatic trans. Cars I drive, when I slow down. I do this to save wear & tear on my brakes, when approaching stop-signs or red-lights. I down shift gradually, just like on a manual trans. When it's time to go, I hold the paddle in the "up-shift" mode, until I see "drive" on the trans. Indicator. In this accident, as the light turned green (the trans. Was in a low gear), I held the paddle in "up-shift" mode (note: I may have clicked the paddle 1 gear up before it went to "drive", I don't remember), and started the turn, barely pressing the accelerator. When I was appr. Halfway (45 degrees) into the turn (pointed swb at the opposite two lanes), I felt the engine "stagger" (like if you accidentally shift a manual trans. Into a high gear but you meant a low gear), and in a fraction of a second-the car rocketed ahead (I heard rpms) slamming me into the wb car(s) so fast, I didn't even make 90 degrees, nor could I brake (I tried). The 1st car impacted went backward (and to the right) hitting the car behind, and hit the car in the right lane. Note: 1. Jeep was totaled. 2. this accident was in dry weather, mid-morning @ intersection I drive nearly every day. 3.the airbag failed & I was briefly knocked-out w/some injuries. 4. this is not: " I hit the gas but meant the brake" case, I went from slow to rocket-ship. 5. I've been driving > 40 years w/O accident. 5. I'm a Pilot w/good reflexes.

Jeep in motion, engine stalls at varies speeds multiple times in a row. Headed straight or turning, had to call tow truck but after 20 minutes I tried to turn over my Jeep and it started. This happened 3 different times before arriving home. Kept call center rep. On phone until I was 2 miles away from my home. 1 time Jeep paused like not getting gas then I pressed the pedal and it accelerated (all right in the middle of intersection) then drove the remaining mile and a 1/4 home while on phone with husband. Advance auto told me possible fuel issue, I added lucas fuel system cleaner. Now looking at recalls online and reading about camshaft or crankshaft sensor. Miles on Jeep 41688.

Vehicle loses power unpredictably while in motion. Occurs in various scenarios, including during a complete stop, accelerating, decelerating, and cruising (occurs at all speeds 0-75 mph). Vehicle maintains electrical power but loses thrust, power steering, and brake pressure. Car needs to be turned off, and on occasion the engine will not turn over when attempting to re-start. Will have to wait several minutes. Occurs mostly after the vehicle has been driving for at least a short distance, then turned off for 5-10 minutes minimum. When vehicle restarts, the operator is at risk for failure. Jeep dealership has replaced the trottle body and issue persisted. Returned to Jeep, they replicated the engine failure but cannot identify an issue.
