This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Jeep dealer.
This has been ongoing for about a year. It started about a month after we went over 36000 miles. They, of course, told me that if not drive train issue it will not be covered by the warranty. I have issues when it starts to overheat in traffic and have the a/c on and it is hot out. If I turn a/c off, it will take a little bit but will stop overheating. I have times where I get off work it is hot out ( I am in Texas it gets hot ) the a/c will not work. I am frustrated and would love to just give it back, but of course I am locked into payments, so I am stuck... why is there not a recall?

Aircon stops working while on a long drive. Requires vehicle to be stopped, restarted for cold air to start blowing. Fiddling with buttons doesn't help. Permanent fix requires a software update by the dealership.

I don't understand how this isn't a recall issue if the computer shuts off when the temperature outside reaches a certain degree. HOW can it be functioning properly and not be a recall when the entire system just decides not to work at 100 degrees (this is the temperature displayed on the dash which of course is about 10-15 degrees less in actuality)?? Once the dash reads 94 the systems kicks back on...JUST HAD EVERYTHING UPDATED IN JULY AND IT COST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS!!!! I'm not paying for this again, they need to stand behind their product and cover it.
