This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Jeep dealer.
One day the doors stopped locking. I could not lock them with the fob or the button inside the car. The only way to lock the jeep was to do it manually, which is a pain in the rear. I mean come on this is a brand new vehicle. I was reading thru the complaints and noticed that someone unhooked the battery for 60 seconds and then it fixed it. I gave it a try and it worked for me as well.

This is one of numerous problems to date for this new vehicle.
Electrical issue is still not fixed.
Jeep has no clue how to fix the problem.

No matter what I do the remote is not unlocking the doors correctly. They stay locked, or dont lock at all.

Door remotes stopped working and the lock button on the inside of the car would not work. Only way to lock/unlock the car was to manually push the lock. Resulted in not being able to reprogram the keys and had to order new ones.

Did not know my car door was not locking after using key fob etc. Went to car one day and noticed I was burglarized and all things of value were stolen. There were no signs of forced entry. Looked into why and realized my car could not automatically lock.
Got the run around from not only Santa Monica Jeep as well as Perry Cheep in National City. Also got the run around by three different agent on the phone with Jeep Corporate and more than 3 online agents.
In the end Jeep said they were not liable for anything that happened and that now the car was fixed they could do nothing. They did not mention why this happened or if it could occur again.
Jeep said that unless a similar or more serious incident arose from the Jeep they could not escalated it. I quote "my hands are tied due to the circumstances."
I am now scared to use my Jeep which is my primary mode of transportation. Because there was no answer to why my car malfunctioned. I am in fear that it could happen again or other things could malfunction due to the software program.

Still not fixed after after computer replaced. Even dealer does not know how to repair. Email to Jeep customer service has been unanswered. Beware of Fiat product bearing Jeep label.
Update from Sep 21, 2015: Faulty Electronic Control Module. Replaced.

I brought Jeep to dealership, auto locking system NOT working and returned to us in about 10 minutes and it works….Fixed?
06/21/15 Auto locking system NOT working again, on remote or interior door locks, I disconnected battery for 60 seconds and reconnected the battery. Remote door locks work fine. I had to re-configure my custom settings. I consider this fixed.

I will be driving down the road and all of a sudden I get a warning message that states the key fob has left the vehicle. The keyless entry ia also hit and miss, it's supposed to unlock the vehicle when you walk up to it alleviating the need to dig your keys out of your purse when your hands are full. Outs very annoying. The dealer said they fixed it but they didn't and they now just tell me that there is nothing wrong with it. I really hate this vehicle
