Very common issue, Dodge/Jeep is aware of this but it is not covered under a powertrain warranty and no recall has been issued....
Error Code P0128

It seems this is a common problem with the Renegades. This has not been the only issue though. We also had transmission issues on which we had to take the dealer several times before anything would get done and fixed. I will be glad when we get rid of this vehicle. It has been nothing but a headache.

First major problem with the Renegade. Pricey fix. Seems too common not to have been a recall.

If this a known issue with the Jeep Renegade. How is Jeep getting away with not issuing a recall and replacing the faulty thermostat for free?!

I am a mechanic, and have been a gearhead since my highschool days. I have an issue with a thermostat failure this soon on a NEW vehicle, and if it is a known issue, why isn't Chrysler/Jeep doing anything about it.

I will not buy another Jeep as long as I live. Dealers are the big issue - if they, Jeep, want repeat customers, take care of the crappy problems. I can't believe the number of P0128 codes that people have. What is wrong with Jeep for not fixing this?! It is a $70 part.
