problem #1

Renegade Limited 3.2L

ignition jams for no reason, could take hours for it to work

MY IGNITION JAMS AT RANDOM AFTER I PARK MY CAR SOMEWHERE AND GO BACK IN IT TO TAKE OFF. KEY GOES IN THE IGNITION, BUT WILL NOT BUDGE AT ALL. IT JAMS COMPLETELY. IT COULD BE HOURS BEFORE IT DECIDES TO ALLOW THE KEY TO TURN OR I HAVE TO GET IT TOWED.

JEEP HAS REFUSED TO REPLACE THE IGNITION, EVEN AFTER HAVING MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED A COUPLE MORE TIMES BEFORE THAT, BUT I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES SO DIDN'T HAVE IT TOWED.

JEEP SAYS THEY CAN NOT EFFECTIVELY DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM UNLESS THEY EXPERIENCE IT. THE ODDS OF THEM EXPERIENCING IT IS SLIM TO NONE, UNLESS THEY RIDE WITH ME EVERYWHERE I GO. CLEARLY, MY WORD AND DETAILED EXPLANATIONS OF EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS IS NOT VALID. THEY DENY MY REQUESTS TO REPLACE THE IGNITION AND ARE OK WITH LETTING THEIR CUSTOMERS DRIVE OFF THEIR LOT IN UNSAFE VEHICLES.

I HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH DEALERSHIP AND CORPORATE CUSTOMER CARE- NO ONE SEEMS TO WANT TO HELP.
