Renegade 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,000 miles

I had high hopes for my Renegade but those hopes were quickly demolished. Within the first few months, my brakes began to squeal any time the brakes were engaged. I have been on the lookout for a recall concerning this issue, however, one has not manifested. I have other issues as well. I despise the fact that I am still paying a car note and my vehicle sounds like a jalopy.

Renegade Trailhawk 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission

Breaks on brand new jeep renegade squealing when leaving the driveway. I was hoping it was something that would just wear away in time but no its getting worse. I will bring it in for service soon.

Update from Jan 6, 2016: i read on jeeprenegadeforumn about "bedding down your breaks". basically drive to 60km/h then press brakes hard but not hard enough to trigger ABS. Do not let car come to a stop. repeat 5 or 6 times in a row. worked for me :)
