The contact owns a 2016 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that the vehicle stalled and lost power intermittently after the accelerator pedal was depressed. The traction control warning indicator also illuminated. The failure occurred approximately twelve times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed as having an engineering software failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.
