The Jeep 2016 Renegade is junk. Do not buy! It is a money pit.

Right before I took the picture, the seat belt light was still on. I was in the parking lot, belt on and the lights would not go off. Parking break, air bag, passive entry, seat belt and the annoying "bong" reminding me to fasten my seat belt. After about 30-40 seconds, all went off except for the air bag and the passive entry system. After a few minutes, the airbag light went off and now the passive entry system light remains. I called the dealership and they told me that it was out of warranty and started giving me a $1000 and up verbal quote to replace all sorts of stuff.
If you buy a Jeep, remember. It's a CHRYSLER!! GET the extended, bumper to bumper warranty! And, when that warranty runs out, EXTEND IT! You'll be glad you did.

Well here we go again....I just started my car and the Service Airbag System, Parking Brake System and the no seat belt light and messages came on. I took off driving and all of the lights went off, except the parking brake system.

These have been occurring randomly for years, sometimes every day for weeks then not again for months then one time, sometimes all together, sometimes only one.
1. hit a bump in the road, not even a big one, and service air bag, service electronic parking brake, and seatbelt warning all come on, car runs fine, eventually each light goes off. same 3 lights reoccur regularly, sometimes on startup, sometimes while just driving along, sometimes when hitting a bump, eventually all go away.
2. usually if #1 is happening the backup camera image is dark and distorted, sometimes wiping the lens and banging the hatch above the camera helps.... but if #1 is happening then camera usually won't come back to normal, if #1 isn't happening then it is likely the camera will return to normal for a while.
3. randomly, usually on open road, hear a clunk under the car, then service 4wd light comes on and warning that 4wd not available comes on. eventually, maybe after a stop, lights go away and 4wd appears to work ok. this has occasionally occurred while #1 is happening also, but not always.
4. new observation, when #1 is occurring the clicking sound for the turn signals doesn't work, the arrow blinks but no sound.
