problem #2

Renegade Trailhawk 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,585 miles

This is a common problem. The fan was redesigned, and this is the NEW design. When the fan engages while the car is sitting still, the fan frame will warp either because the fan isn't balanced or because the frame is a cheap plastic and becomes pliable when the engine heats up.

Renegade Trailhawk 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 46,000 miles

Fan failed, causing car to overheat. Chrysler claims not under warranty. hundreds of complaints can be found online with same problem. Should be a recall on this part.

There is NO WAY that a car that is only 18 months old needs a new fan, except manufacturing defects or bad design. Should not be my problem to fix.
