This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Jeep dealer.
I have owned my 2017 Jeep Renegade for less than 60 days. It has been in the shop for 3 weeks of that time. The car has a fuel pump issue which causes it to shut off while in motion. This happened 3 times. I took the car to a Jeep dealership and was informed that it would be 6 weeks before Jeep would authorize the release of the part to repair my car as its under "engineer review". I filed a complaint with Jeep costumer service which was pointless. Jeep will not help me with the fact that I have been left without a vehicle for an extended period of time and basically told me it was my bad luck for purchasing a Jeep vehicle. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated.

So about two months ago I was traveling up hill about 10 MPH when the vehicle stalled. I tried to restart and after a few attempt it started. Over the past few weeks the vehicle stalls every time I goes up hill. The vehicle stalls whether the tank is full or 1/4 tank. Now here is the crazy part. I found if I back up the hill, it never stalls.
I have seen recall notices for a similar situation for the two wheel drive version but not for a 4X4. My vehicle is not on any recall list. Guess what. The fuel pump and fuel filter is in the fuel tank. Throwing this out there in case anyone else has the same situation.
