The contact stated upon retrieving the nozzle the contact became aware fractured pieces of the fuel filler neck. The contact stated that the failure recurred several times and became significantly worse. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel line stellar neck housing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 23,570.
