The 1st time the jeep cut off it cranked back up right away and it didn't cut off until about 3 weeks later. I was probably going about 25 miles an hour in town and it cut off and didn't crank back up until about 5 minutes had passed. I was near an Advanced Auto and had the alternator and battery checked. They were both OK. I knew that the ignition coil felt really hot so I had it replaced. I really thought that was the problem.
It cut off again about a week later and wouldn't hit a lick at all. It wouldn't make any noise at all when you turned the ignition switch. I finally found out it was the solenoid. On other vehicles I have owned if I had a bad solenoid, it never cut off going down the road. Oh well, I am glad it is fixed.
