Got pulled over for no rear lights. Took the jeep to the dealership. They had it for 2 days and couldn't find the problem. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. They said to bring it back when it wasn't working anymore. I told them they needed to fix it now or they would have to pay for any tickets I received. They didn't like that and got an attitude and asked me to leave. I said not until they fixed my jeep. I had a nice chat with their general manager. He said that if I leave my jeep there, they would try to figure out what was wrong with it, but it might take several more days before they could get to it. I told him I needed my jeep. I don't have another vehicle. Then he told me that if I wanted to get it fixed somewhere else, as long as it's a mechanic shop, they would reimburse the cost to have it fixed. I agreed to that, but as I was walking out, I recognized someone I went to school with. He was a mechanic for the dealership. After talking for a few minutes, he said he wouldn't mind taking a look at my jeep on his lunch break in about 20 min. I'm glad I waited. After 5 minutes, he found the problem and fixed it. The tail gait has 2 small metal tabs that make contact with another set just inside the door to provide power to the lights. It has push on connectors that had gotten bent(during assembly). He cut them off and put new ones on. Problem fixed. F'N dealership had my jeep for 2 day and it only took one good mechanic 5 minutes to fix.
