Yesterday the air bag light came on I and the horn stopped working. I was not under recall, dealer going to charge consumer for repairs. Last week the same thing happened with Dodge Caravan. They were both Chrysler products, and the Dodge had a recall. However the Jeep did not.

While the vehicle was parked, the horn sounded on its own Accord, and continued for over 6 hours until the battery ran down. When I jump started the vehicle, the horn started again, then stopped. Several miles later, it went off again, and didn't stop until I disconnected it. The Jeep repair tells me that there is a national back order on this part. Doesn't that warrant a recall?

Consumer went to press the horn when it did not sound. Kept pressing the horn pad when airbag fell off. Apparently airbag was never bolted down at the factory which caused it to fall. Consumer called manufacturer, and was told that mistake happened, and there was a warranty to correct it.
