problem #1

Mar 022009

Wrangler Sport 4.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 94,500 miles

This problem was made worse due to the fact that we had just purchased this vehicle used from a dealership in Woodway, TX. The engine would not run at low idle. Everytime we came to a complete stop or left the transmission in neutral the engine would stall. We took the jeep to a Dodge dealership and they in turn cleaned a severely clogged throttle body and sensor. I am not sure how the throttle body got so clogged in the first place but the vehicle is running great now.
