I just bought this vehicle, drove it home and it quit the next day. I have a $17,000 piece of sh*t sitting useless in my garage. Who knows how much this will cost to have fixed!

No key power to the solenoid relay. You can cross solenoid to turn engine but it will not fire.

I tried to start my 2007 JK and it just "clicks" once. Battery checks out fine. I found other posts about this. Supposedly, this is a common problem. A sensor that verifies the transmission is in park. I have heard there is a work around. If so can anyone direct me to this?

It is sporadic and I never know when it will happen. You put the key in the ignition and try to start the car and all you get is a 'click'...sometimes had to repeat this up tp 20 times to get it to start. I have had the starter, alternator and battery changed, still has this problem. Did some research and there is apparently a sensor in the transmission/engine that detects if the car is in park or neutral. If it is not detecting it, it will not allow you to start it. Will cost around $1000 to repair, but of course the sensor is only $40! They have to tear the engine/transmission apart to fix this. Started before my warranty was up, I complained and complained, it was never fix...and now they still tell me nothing is wrong. But when I am sitting in the back field and it does this, panic would set in until it started. Luckily I found the 'workaround' online and apparently I am not the ONLY person with this issue and it is a known Jeep issue!

So I have had this problem before Turn the ignition key to start my Jeep and nothing happens so I would wait for awhile and try again and it would start. This last time this happened it started in the morning for work but that same day when I was leaving from work to go home it wouldn't start. I have had the battery checked the starter checked and both good. Have a mechanic trouble shoot it and thinks its the TIPM. So what would happen if I was out of a trail out in the middle of nowhere and this happened how would I be able to get my Jeep off the trail and back home. I would be stranded and trying to figure on how to get my Jeep home. This is ridiculous having problems like this and I know I'm not the only one who has had this issue before.
