Modulator unit complete failure at 100k, 4x4 shop replaced modulator and charged $600 + trade of hotsy high pressure washer (used $1200). 5k failed again and rebuilt, took 6 weeks, and $2300. 1600miles fail again and again opened, "bench rebuild". Another fail in 1000 mi taken to MOPAR shop who replaced transmission oil saying it was full of metal shavings. $1580. for that repair. Trans fluid leak from main seal, fixed at no charge about 4 months. Now it intermittently only will run in 2nd gear. I cleaned the battery terminals but the problem persists. It shifts normally until I use reverse, or when it downshifts during a rolling stop. If I turn the ignition off, put it in park and have nothing on, when I restart it shifts normally for a little while. It does search for a gear occasionally and once it does that it goes to 2nd and stays there.
