When at a stop and in first gear, when I proceed to go forward the gear will pop out of 1st into neutral. First, of all this scares you to death because it sounds like the engine has dropped out of it. You're in a panic because it's unexpected and you need to act fast as you have traffic behind you. I took it to the dealership and was told not sure why the jeep was doing this but to start out in 2nd gear. This happens if I or my husband is driving it. I have owned a jeep before and never had this problem. It is dangerous.
