Bought new door gaskets to keep water off driver's and passenger's floor, and try to stop water dripping in on us,still didn't stop leak, sucked water out around 12 times with a dry-vac and heat dried carpets each time. I tried the camper tape but still didn't stop dripping. I trimmed the two roof separation gaskets on the door jambs where the roof can be removed to match the shape of the original door jamb , and the area behind driver and passenger with a razor blade (driver's and passenger's side), then smoothed black silicone over the gaps and where the plastic buttons are for the windshield fold-down, works great, if the roof were ever to be removed, you could use a break-away blade razor knife to cut slits into the silicone.
Hint: Clean the area where you're adding the silicone, make sure the areas are warm and dry, use a heat gun to heat these areas (just heat these areas, don't melt the foam), wait until the silicone dries well before closing the doors (approximately 2-3 hours). You can speed up the cure time a little by applying light heat to the silicone. This worked, make sure that there's enough silicone smoothed across so the door gaskets mate the door jamb. pay close attention that the silicone is smooth and not jagged or rough.

Water is pouring in around the front passenger door whenever it rains! Carpet is always soaking wet!! All of the seal seem to be in good shape with no parts missing.

My 2012 Jeep Wrangler is not safe to drive in. It's FULL of black mold !!!!!! I have been to the dealer, they replaced weather trim but it did nothing to fix the problem!!! There is more than 4" of water in my Jeep after sitting for only a week!!! I am worried that I will become very sick breathing in the black mold spores!!!!!!!! or that seat belts will come apart in an accident due to mold eating away at seat belts!!!!

The passenger door leaks water, every time it rains, causing floor to be soaked. (May cause damage to inside door) I had to remove carpet, and open drains, next thing to find a way to seal the top of door!

*Apparently Chrysler knows of this issue but won't issue a recall unless it poses an immediate danger WHICH even in that case the solution has been to solve a consequence instead of the problem. See below for what I mean
2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport (2 door) Hardtop installed currently (but own soft-top as well) ONLY 22,500 miles. The 3yr/36K warranty has JUST expired.
I noticed a bad smell in my Jeep a couple months ago. I usually park outside garage and live in a VERY rainy part of country 3 4-5 months a year. I checked carpets and discovered passenger side carpet and carpeted Jeep floor-mat was SATURATED despite it having not rained the 3 days prior.
All indications are that is isn't new and I haven't noticed this until just recently because, I usually do not have a passenger and I have a All weather bowl shaped floor-mats installed. The all weather floor-mats have a logo that is attached with a metal rivet on the underside that was VERY rusty. I also began to notice mold/mildew growing on the underside of the hardtop.
I used bathroom citric acid (not bleach) based bathroom cleaner to remove mold easily and used wet dry vac to remove water. Now Jeep has issued a RECALL on a issue caused by the leaky roof, which indicates the leaks are a common problem Jeep has known about. The recall addresses electrical fires caused by the leaky roof shorting out power leads to heated side mirrors. According to the recall notification the solution is not fixing the leak, but adding additional water barriers for the connections. HA! Since many Jeeps are not ordered with the "Power Convenience Package" that includes heated side mirrors most folks will never know Jeep has admitted guilt of a leaky roof. See recall campaign P61
Since I've noticed the problem I have not been able to get the vehicle into for the recall repair and to see what can be done about the roof. To mitigate the issue I've been parking in my garage and limiting (what I can) exposure to heavy rain.
I have scheduled a dealer visit (Autonation owned dealer) for 4/7/15 to get recall done and will addressing the actual problem of a leaky roof. Now that I'm out of warranty I have doubts Jeep will stand behind a documented and acknowledged problem that occurred while in warranty. I'll update this posting after my interactions with my dealer & Chrysler.

I have a brand new 2012 jeep Wrangler 2 door Sahara paid 33K for it with all the bells and whistles. Hard top, Black leather, navigation, I love this jeep. However since I got it it' s been leaking. I purchased it with a hard top and the freedom tops that come off. The water comes from everywhere... side doors, knobs for the freedom tops, under the carpet ( already had the carpet replaced). I have taken it to the dealer multiple times and contacted the state attorneys office to file for lemon law. The dealer has been very understanding and have tried to fix the problem. It has not been resolved. At this point... Chrysler is repurchasing the Jeep from me. They agree to pay off the loan and refund my money. Of course, I have to pay for the miles that I put on the jeep.... which equals around 2200 dollars (which sucks). I really struggled with finding another car even similar to a jeep. The toyota FJ cruiser is in the running .... then I thought, the hell with it I will buy another jeep .... maybe a 2013. There is no way It can have the same problem? After reading the jeep forum and reading blogs on line... people are having the same issues with 2013..... looks like Toyota FJ cruiser is coming home with me. Sad I wanted to buy American !

2012 Wrangler bought brand new! Worst vehicle purchase I've ever made spent 15 days in shop due to water leaks and still not fixed! Dealerships are worst to deal with and very condescending I mean I'm an airline pilot I think I have an idea on whether my vehicle leaks! Do not buy these vehicles stress level will go through the roof. Picture first time it rains in your brand new vehicle the carpets are soaked its dripping on you and when you go to dealer their response is; "They all leak get used to it" PUT THAT IN THE BROCHURE! I ordered a new freedom top panel under warranty due to one in it being cracked they told me it'd be in first of the week a month ago! Mind you they didn't say what week so I guess they got me there. While it was in their shop to try and stop the leaks they also scratched the freedom panels all up AT THE DEALERSHIP! When I purchased the vehicle dual tops was a selling point and when you take delivery it should have 2 boxes in the vehicle for the soft top it took me over a month and multiple trips over 150km each way to track down these 2 boxes, for the work I did I should have at least gotten the commission on the sale over the salesman! During the process of getting my soft top parts I asked a service man if I could see a list of parts I should have gotten to go through what I received he told me there's no ingredient list for a soft top their all different, like do I look that retarded. Whether you listen to me or not I say never buy from Jeep/Chrysler I know I never will again but these vehicles are far from piece of mind! I owned a 05 VW Jetta TDI for 5 yrs and had less problems with it then I have had with this in 2 months!

Water leaks into the Jeep cab. Some folks say it normal for a Jeep. It’s a pretty sorry excuse.
