I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. The stability control system will turn on at random. The (RHD) vehicle check engine light and stability traction control (skid) light come on regularly while driving straight on dry roads and when the traction control light is on it causes the vehicle to slow speed. Hitting OFF button does not turn it off. Once this happens, acceleration is significantly compromised and the transmission continues to shift back and forth. When driving over 40 mph, it takes a while to gain speed and if you let off gas it jerks like you are driving a standard transmission. Another strange thing this happens a lot when the temperature is very hot. You never know when it will happen. I have taken it to dealer but they don't seem to be very knowledgeable or have any idea why this is happening.
