I HAVE A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED SAHARA (BUILD DATE 8/2012) 48,500 MILES. THE JEEP RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHEN SITTING IN TRAFFIC AT A LIGHT OR IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION.(NOT SAFE) IT WILL ALSO STALL OUT WHEN PUTTING INTO REVERSE BACKING OUT OF THE GARAGE .
FROM SEEING OTHER FORUMS ABOUT CHRYSLER TIPM'S, THEY ARE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS. VEHICLES ARE SHUTTING OFF FOR NO APPARENT REASON, EXCEPT BAD COMPUTERS AND ARE THEY DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT !!!
MY JEEP HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR 2 WEEKS NOW, NO ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON TO TELL THE MECHANIC WHAT PART TO FIX OR CHANGE. THEY NEED TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT BEFORE MORE PEOPLE GET IN ACCIDENTS OR DIE.

A few months after having two PCM's replaced and having it flashed, my Jeep started to just shut down with zero indication lights showing on the display panel. I would pull up t a red light, stop sign or just sitting in a parking lot and the jeep would turn its self off. I would place the vehicle in park, re-start it and place the vehicle back in the drive position and noticed that it would take the transmission up to thirty seconds to engage. I took the Jeep into the Chrysler dealer for service and they stated no codes were tripped.
Took vehicle back and again the jeep continued to die on me when ever I stopped for a red light, stop sign or any where else for that matter. The dealer would not look at it since I could not duplicate the problem in front of them. I finally convinced the service department to keep my jeep so they could trouble shoot the issue.
Two weeks being without the jeep and 100 miles later I received a call from the Chrysler dealer letting me know that I could pick up the jeep because they could not find any problems with it. No codes tripped, and no duplication of problem could be found. I drive the jeep off the lot and five minutes into the drive home, I stop at a red light and guess what; the jeep shuts down on me. I keep taking it in for two to three weeks and finally they tell me that they receive a code stating the software is out of date, so they re-flash something and give me the jeep back. problem still there. Patience getting thin.

Second owner of this great 2013 Jeep Wrangler. Had all service records and looked to be in great condition. A few months later, it began the highly reported and widespread STALLING issue for no reason. As reported, it has continued to just randomly act up - never can be predicted. We have replaced the air filter with a Cold Air intake and new O2 sensor, we have had it hooked up for diagnosis - nothing to report. We have the fuel system checked - Perfect. Had the transmission serviced about 10,000 miles sooner than recommended. And it stalled 60 miles later! Usually happening when slowing or approaching a stop. Leads me to believe it is a sync issue between engine and transmission.
Just read a post that identified the CRANK POSITION SENSOR (CPS) This makes sense and we will try that next. That report indicated it fixed the problem!! So, for all of us out there dealing with service centers/ dealerships that just shrug their shoulders, lets give this a try! Just go in and tell them you need the CPS replaced ! I bet you get a blank stare back at ya! It is an electrical component going for less than $40 but I believe the service and labor will of course be excessive for something JEEP should handle as a Safety Recall !!!!

I purchased this car used in 07/15, Since then I have replaced the radiator, cpm and tipm. Jeep keeps shutting off while driving. one would think in reading these complaints that the manufacturer would issue a recall. I've called the dealership and they will do nothing unless it throws a code. which it didn't do until lately.
I called the dealerships and explained the code and asked if the had the cpm available and when I bring the Jeep up if they could replace it. (note I already had the code from a local repair shop and looked up wheat the code meant. Local guy doesn't do computer work) all I got was attitude from the service guy...So in now I have to go another round with the vehicle. It only currently has 62,000 miles on. I have purchase other used cars (non American and no issues) First American one and nothing but issue's.

Bought a used Jeep from a relatable dealership. J Pauly Toyota, Ft Smith Ar. Day 1 it died while driving, 40+ MPH. Died 5 times in first 21 days. Dealer will not take it back. (I tried to return it day 1) They did check it, said no codes, no issues. Intermittent dying is hard to diagnose. Dodge dealership kept it a week, can't find the problem. My 19 year old daughter bought this jeep to travel alone, back in forth, Florida to Phoenix! I thought it would be perfect...too off in the warm climates, 4 wheel drive for the mountains, NM and Flagstaff. And it rides rough, so on interstates she would stay under 75 MPH. Now we run the risk of it dying in interstate traffic with speeding trucks/cars close behind. That being said, she now has a beautiful 4wheel drive, hard top Jeep that she can only drive on back streets. No highways or interstates. A mechanic bypassed the fuel sending module (maybe what it is called) on the TIPM. Did it again today.
Desperately need help. If anyone has a fix for this please email me. Bhanks13@aol.com
