I need help. My dealership and so far my suppose to be "star cases" have not solved anything. I have been the only owner of my Jeep and I rarely take it off road and when it do its in the backyard or on the beach nothing serious. This Jeep is my vehicle to go to work and town in. Also now my vehicle to pickup my kid in.
Since about 30-40k miles I have had issues with stalling out and the hard hard jerks when driving. It started off with stalling out when I would be in reverse and trying to back up. I would have to put the Jeep in park and turn off and turn back on. Some times it would have rapidly and others maybe another week or two before it happens again. Finally it starting does the same thing when I would come to red lights or stop signs and come to a complete stop. Just dumps all gauges and I notice radio is still on and lights but air stops blowing cold and just blows. As for the hard jerks you notice it when your starting to accurate and when your cruise control or even just driving and there is a hill or slight need for a little more resistance on the engine. You will have hard hard jerks enough to wake a sleeping person and spill drinks out of cups. And its like skips recently I have started to smell something like how they says your burning the new off when you first get a vehicle and floor it.
Like I said I have been to the dealership that we purchased the Jeep from this whole time. They cannot reproduce it so they cannot tell me anything or see anything is wrong. I have call customer service at Jeep or Chrysler and one person said I had a star case open and the dealership had it for like a week or so and another time after that they said I have not had a star case just a case open to have it worked on. I am currently 101800 something. At 100000 we took it in and the dealership said they would give us another 2700 miles to warranty this issue. I am afraid to drive the Jeep to get my 11month old or my wife even. I wonder if I will make it to work on time or at all every day. No one should fear driving his or her car. If I could afford another car right now I would get ride of this Jeep and not look at another Chrysler vehicle again because so far no one has been able help or even try.
The dealership also told me that all Chrysler cars and trucks jerk some when changing gear because of the low torque conversion but even if this is the case this is not what is happen to me or if it is then it has to be something wrong because I only started having these issues more and more frequently 2 years or so after driving off the lot.
So help me. Help this tired and frustrated customer of your. Change my mind on this brand and get me some kind of answer.
If you Google stall out in reverse or even the jerking you will see load of forums and comments on this issues for my year 2013 and more. Why is this not an issue for recall or for Jeep to at least give us an answer to why?
