An ABS warning light and brake warning light illuminated on the dash. Vehicle traction control and ABS systems are inoperable as a result of the fault. I have attempted to purchase a replacement ABS module to correct the failure for over a year now. Several dealerships have cancelled my order after it has gone unfulfilled. The most recent order was placed on 7/30/24 The part has been on order through the dealership and the release date continues to be pushed back. Part Number is 68259556AD

The ABS module in Jeep vehicles have been going out for a while now. The parts have not been made to repair this issue since at least 2023. It has been in an engineering review and just gets pushed back month after month. My module went out last year and the parts can not be fount to repair this issue. With the module not working, the cruise control does not work, traction control does not work, and most importantly, the ABS system does not work. What can be done about this due to safety concerns?

ABS lights, break and traction control lights illuminated on dash. I took it to a repair shop, and they said the ABS module put out a code it was failing and needed to be replaced and not to drive it because it was unsafe. They said we can't get the part they aren't making them. After checking This is true. So, I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler that is not safe to drive, and it only has 40,000 miles on it and there are no repair parts to repair it.

The ABS lights and other brake-related lights are on. Took it to the local dealer and they said the ABS module is bad and needs replaced and they do not have any in stock and do not know when they will have it back in stock. I'm having to drive with no ABS and no cruise control. I feel I am putting myself and others at risk.

The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) module on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler failed at approximately 100,000 miles, causing a complete loss of ABS functionality. The component remains installed in the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. This failure significantly impacted my safety and the safety of others, as it compromised braking performance, making the vehicle more difficult to control during sudden stops or slippery road conditions. Without ABS, there was an increased risk of skidding, longer stopping distances, and potential collisions, particularly in emergency braking situations or adverse weather conditions. Additionally, my cruise control is no longer operable due to this issue, further impacting the vehicle's drivability. The problem was diagnosed and confirmed by Suncoast Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, which identified the ABS module failure as the cause and provided a repair estimate for replacement. While the vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives, the dealership's diagnosis serves as confirmation of the defect. At approximately 100,000 miles, the ABS warning light, traction control light, and brake light all illuminated on the dashboard simultaneously, signaling a system-wide failure. Since then, these warning lights have remained illuminated, indicating an ongoing issue with the vehicle-??s braking and stability systems. The failure immediately coincided with a noticeable decline in braking performance and the loss of cruise control functionality. No other warning messages or alerts appeared before the failure. After researching this issue, I have found that this is a very common problem affecting numerous Jeep owners with models from 2007 to the present (JK and JKU models). Many owners have reported similar ABS module failures, leading to the loss of ABS, traction control, and cruise control.

In August of 2024, the ABS light came on in my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (manual transmission). I took it to my mechanic who reported that the error code indicated that the ABS module was bad and needed replacing. We authorized the repair and waited for him to call with a timeline for it to be ready. He was unable to locate any parts from any of his normal suppliers and called the Jeep dealerships only to be told that the part was on an "engineering hold" and unavailable for purchase. He asked the dealership service department about a timeline for the part and was told end of September 2024. That date then became November 2024, January 2025, and most recently March 20, 2025 with no part ordered yet. Jeep has failed to provide a replacement part or repair option for this critical component that is failing in multiple year and models of Jeep Wranglers and the risk to injury is significant if it fails while the car is being driven. I either have to choose to not drive the car I have paid for and maintained or I have to play Russian roulette every time I get behind the wheel and wonder if this is the ride where the module will fail.

ABS control module gives error code, attempt to purchase replacement at dealer, dealer said they are on back order pending engineering review and will not be available until the end of march 2025 and will likely be pushed out again, this is a serious a safety issue, if you research it the web is full of issues where jeeps have caught on fire and or breaking went out. The manufacture is using "under engineering review" to skirt the need to issue a recall this need to be investigated, my jeep has sat for 4 months this is more that adequate time to review the issue. please feel free to contact me at [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

**Incident Description:** While driving my Jeep Wrangler, the ABS warning light illuminated on the dashboard. Upon further inspection and research, it was determined that the ABS control module had failed, affecting the vehicle's braking system. This failure poses a significant safety risk, as it compromises the anti-lock braking function and overall stability during emergency stops or adverse road conditions. I have discovered that this issue is not isolated to my vehicle; it has been reported as a recurring problem among Jeep Wrangler owners on various forums and online communities. Many owners have shared similar experiences with the ABS control module failing and the warning light appearing. To date, the problem has not been resolved. The vehicle has been inspected by an independent service center, which confirmed the failure of the ABS control module. No prior symptoms or warning lamps were observed until the ABS warning light appeared. This appears to be a systemic issue affecting numerous Jeep Wranglers, warranting further investigation and potentially a recall to ensure driver safety.

ABS Module. The safety lights are on for the ABS Module. We verified the fuses were all good, and replaced them with new ones, just in case. I took the car to a mechanic who used a handheld computer to reset the warning. The warning lights came back on as soon as I started the engine. My mechanic attempted to order the module, but we are getting that it is on back order. We had been told it would be at the dealership in Oct 16th, but is still not available today Oct 31st. I understand that if for any reason I have to slam on the breaks, there is a chance that my brakes will fail. I entered our VIN but received the message that our Jeep is not listed as on recall. Other 2015 Jeeps are on the list, but ours has failed?? Doesn't seem right. I'm was not looking for free to begin with, but do need to correct this issue. Neither option is to available.

ABS, Traction Control, and Brake lights have been on for more than a year. I have taken it to Jeep Dealership here in Jacksonville, FL and they have continually tried to order the part from Jeep, but are told that the part is. not available at this time. I called Jeep directly and have been told "Part STOCK is under QUARANTINE pending quality / engineering review and inspection. Working to obtain timing on resolve to predict allocation and shipment to DLR to fulfill No firm ETA to provide at this time. Pending response from SPLR / PKG Working to improve." Which is not really an answer. My ABS does not work, and my car cannot be put into cruise control mode without this part being replaced. I feel that my car is not safe without ABS and traction control functioning properly. Part in question is: 68259556AD Module

The ABS Module malfunctions and causes breaks to not work properly. Called dealership and was told to call at later date because the part is being redesigned due to failure. No recall has been sent to owners. Have had to replace break sensors more than two times and not able to drive vehicle until new ABS part available for $1,800. Have had issues with breaks locking up while trying to drive in past and dealership had to repair the ABS modular. This is a safety issue needs to be researched. Prior vehicle with same issue were recalled. JUNE 17, 2022 -?" Chrysler ABS module repairs are necessary based on a recall of more than 270,000 model year 2018-2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs.

My antilock brake system failed and made it where I cannot set my cruise control and the part that is required to fix has been on nation wide backorder since September 30 of 2023 this is unacceptable for a safety part to be that hard to replace and if that many are on backorder it should be recalled. The traction control light and ABS dash lights will come on and the vehicle will jerk and bog down while driving. It is very dangerous and needs to be fixed. I looked on jeep forum to see if I could see what's going on with it and there were a bunch of jeeps that have the same problem.
