The effective coverage period from the Jeep factory warranty for paint/corrosion issues is 5 years, that said, it is HIGHLY likely that the rust issues on the hinges, hood, doors, etc. will likely persist beyond the warranty period. It is known that Jeep was aware of this issue prior to delivering the Wrangler JL
Update from Jan 30, 2023 The repair of the rust took over a month with limited loaner availability.

Hello, so here's my "story" about my 2018 Jeep Wrangler. I live on Cape Cod, MA.
3 month ago I note bubbling spots under the paint of the edges of my doors and around and on the hinges as well as a little spot on my hood too! I've had this Jeep for only 2 years now. When I noted the corrosion building under the paint, I contacted my dealer and they said it can be fixed because I'm still under the corrosion warranty or whatever that is. So "we" started the whole process...mainly me! They were super unhelpful!
I found myself a body shop that agreed to try and do the whole body work that needs to be done. They gave me an estimate for the work that needs to be done and I had to wait for a month so Jeep can approve! After I brought my Jeep to the body shop they looked at it and stated that there is no primer under the paint and that's something very unusual... they were very surprised! So they send out a new estimate to the dealership. I waited probably another month for response from them!
Meanwhile I send an email to Chrysler customer service and they resend it to Jeep customer service. From there I was contacted from Jeep customer service. What I got from them is literally nothing! I told them that I want a whole repair of my doors and hood plus the hinges and she said they can't do that if there is not at least 70% corrosion! I was speechless and told her that she knows that repainting just the spots wont do anything and i will get that problem again. I requested again what I wanted from them but she just stood quiet on the phone. And that was it. She was like "we can't do that" and we hang up. Meanwhile I did read about the lawsuit that is going against Jeep since 2021.
So here I am trying to figure out what the heck I can do...?! I am trying to contact a lawyer but not sure if that will be in any good as well... so any help/advice will be appreciated!

Jeep/FCA has really dropped the ball as far as the jeep corrosion issue goes and I've always been a fan of anything Mopar but I believe this will be my last one.
