2018 Jeep Wrangler JL with the 5.0-inch Uconnect Radio,
Whenever my girlfriend or I plug in our iPhones to play music the radio will make a loud snap/crackle/pop noise and restart about every 30 seconds until we unplug the phone, I have had this problem for almost a year now. I have had the dealership replace the radio for me, but after a few months, the same exact problem occurred again.
After doing research online I have heard other people are having this same issue, allegedly being the result of the recent app update by Uconnect. The most recent visit I had with the dealership to hopefully get this problem fixed resulted in the gentlemen talking me out of "wasting my time to get it looked at because it's a problem with the iPhones being so technologically advanced and it causes the radio to reboot", however the problem with the radio still persists and neither my girlfriend nor I have the latest iPhones, we have an iPhone 6 and 7. If this truly is a problem with the Uconnect radio being so non-technologically advanced then it does not belong in a 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
We are on the verge of purchasing a new radio but we should not be the ones to pay for something that should have been working in the first place.
I would like to either see Jeep offer a recall on this irritating problem or diagnose our problem and give us a different radio, we are beyond disappointed in the Uconnect radio after all we have experienced from it and continue to hear more problems about it.
I am currently looking into creating a video to document the problem and posting it on YouTube in hopes of receiving further assistance.

I've been working on getting radio fixed for over a year and the radio still is not repaired.
The dealership cannot "duplicate" the issue.
