Jeep wrangler jl with 23,000 miles driving 55 mph. Jeep front end started shaking violently and brake pedal pulsating so that I could not brake or steer vehicle. Did Google search and this has been a major Jeep wrangler issue. As an engineer Jeep designers did not understand harmonic frequencies when designing or specificity front end design. This happened 3 times before Wisc. Cambridge service could replace front end steering component at $600 cost. Very dangerous on highway going 55 mph with no vehicle control. I believe you are aware of this issue and have failed your duty to force mfg to fix with a recall.

Unknown-APPARENTLY THIS IS AN ON GOING WRANGLER ISSUE BUT WAS NEVER recalled AND I SEE NO COMMENTS. I see all over the forums that this is a problem and it is driving me insane coming from the left front wheel well area not only during breaking, but both breaking and slowing down no foot on gas or break. There is a very large, creaking, loud, creaking noise, coming out of that area. It also makes the steering wheel bobble, which I think is causing what everybody is saying, the death wobble. I-??ve taken it to Jeep. I have done multiple car washes. I-??ve tried everything they are telling me that there-??s nothing wrong with it but you can clearly hear that sound and it goes creek creek creek, creek, creek, creek, creek, over and over and over again until the car stopped, and there is also a loud grinding noise when you start the vehicle as well.

When going over a bump in the road at speeds above 35 mph the front end shakes the steering wheel and it feels like the front end is jumping up and down and is hard to control. I have spent over 1k in parts and labor including a new stabilizer shock, drag link, tie rod ends and more. It still does it even after these repairs. The front end has been aligned and tires and wheels balanced. The vehicle is dangerous to drive and there does not seem to be a fix for it. FCA said replacing the steering stabilizer would fix it but had no effect. The cause has been labeled unable to determine. I habe had it at two different shops and a lotnof suspension/steering pieces replaced.

The vehicle experiences a sudden and dramatic steering wheel shacking with intense vibration and loss of steering control. Seems to mostly happen at speeds above 40 miles per hour when making a turn or after hitting a road imperfection. The dealership has informed that his is related to the -??Customer Satisfaction Notification V41 Steering Damper-?? [XXX] ) and that it should be brought in for service. The issue is that I have attempted to schedule said service over the last few months, however the dealers tell me they are out of stock for the parts needed and can-??t use aftermarket part to repair. (The date of incident is a placeholder, this is an ongoing issue) Given that this has been identified as a safety issue, that can cause loss of vehicle control endangering the safety of its occupants and others on the road, NHTSA should pressure Stellantis/FCA (Vehicle Manufacturer) to find a quicker and permanent solution to this problem. Perhaps to include reimbursement for parts and labor outside their dealerships. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Vehicle started rattling uncontrollably on Interstate 95 north, Just north of Richmond Hill, Georgia. We had to pull over and we inspected the jeep for damage. No noticeable damage and we turned around and went home and switch cars. We read that this could be the aluminum steering box or the Jeep rattle. We feel these are known defects that Jeep should be responsible.

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle drove onto a bridge and suddenly began to wobble and vibrate. After reducing speed the driver was able the regain control of the vehicle. The failure continued to occur anytime the vehicle drove over a bump in the road while traveling at highway speeds. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the steering dampener needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 30,844.

On August 3,2022. I was driving on the city street crossing the railroad track on 40 speed zone. As soon as it passed, the jeep starts shaking for a minute or so then it stopped. So I thought it was weird but I though it might have been just the railroad on October 22, My sis and are on the freeway, about to merge to the left lane to a different freeway, I felt the jeep was hitting a pump. Then immediately the jeep starts wobbling and shaking that I wasn't able to hold on the steering wheel. I was soo scare that I'm going to hit the other cars and cause accidents. I took the foot off the gas paddle, just let it be while I'm still holding the wheel. Trying to move to the right lane, it was just impossible. The jeep was like jumping around. The wheel was so stiff just cannot move. Finally after awhile the wobbling stopped. I slowly move the jeep to the right lane and drive to the nearest exit. Then I called the dealership right away and told them what happened. Will get back to you soon, that was the answer I got each time I called that day. Which I had called at least 4 times. Next day my friend told me to take this dependable car dealer shop, it has lots of good review and highly recommended. Left the jeep there for couple of days> It was tested with high speed with high bumps. No problem was found. Since then I tried to avoid the freeway, I got nervous driving on the freeway with these bad experience Nov13,22 meeting a friend because of the distance I have to get on the freeway. I was more conscious, I'm holding steering wheels with both hands. after 7 to 8 miles, sure enough the wobbling starts but since i have both hands holding it, I was as frightened as the precious time. After the wobbling stopped, I drove slowly to the destination. With all these scarcely experience. Every time I drive, I'm really nervous. Finally i took it to the dealership. It was diagnosis the steering damper. Unfortunately, it was back order till march or April this year. So,
