The NHTSA is the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints can be spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem. See the Back button — blue bar at the very top of the page — to explore more.
The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while he was cleaning the vehicle, the front driver-??s seat failed to recline. The contact also found an unknown plastic part on the floor in the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the front driver-??s side seat frame to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 6,661.

Drivers seat became stuck folded forward making the vehicle undrivable. Needed to have the vehicle towed to the dealership for repair. Luckily this failure happened when we were in a safe location with cell coverage. The problem occured without warning after folding the driver's seat forward to access the rear seat. This is similar to Jeep's TSB 23-020-19 - "Front Seat Will Not Unfold and Lock Into Position / June 20, 2019". However the dealer tells me that the problem is not the same as the TSB and the seat frame needs to be replaced. This is the second time we have experienced this failure. The previous time I was able to return the seat to the normal position after much difficulty. In that case I was able to drive the vehicle to the dealer for repair. That instance was apparently what is described in the TSB. Based on the owners forums this is a very common problem. It is obviously a major safety issue as it can occur without warning and strand the occupants.

Any time the upper seat reclining handle is used to recline or fold the seat forward, something in the cable mechanism breaks and the seat will no longer latch in any kind of locked position, causing the driver or passenger seat to not be stable easy to fling forward or backward.

Steering wobbles and drifts violently at speeds over 60 mph on the highway. There has also been a water leak under the drivers side steering column that twice now the dealer has not been able to fix, all wiring under the steering wheel is wet after a rain as well as puddles of water on floor mat.this car is a lemon

The modern head restraint system is extremely uncomfortable for those who do not excessively recline their car seats. I personally desire mid and upper back support, especially during impact of a rear end collision. The protruding active head restraint makes proper back support impossible. These head restraint systems should be adjustable for those who use their car seats properly and do not recline them excessively.
