2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport - while driving the steering wheel locks up and all lights on dashboard come on. Several error messages "Auto Park Disabled", "Speed Control Messaging Unavailable", "Service Antilock Brake System", "Service Transmission Continue in DRIVE. Do Not Shift or Turn Off Engine" - to name a few. The car will not shut off, I had to remove a fuse to get the truck to turn off. No dealer or mechanic can assess or fix. Major Saftey concern. There needs to be a recall. Im out thousands of dollars trying to fix. My warranty expired the truck is a lemon.

About 2-2.5 months ago, our 2019 Jeep Wrangler completely stalled out at a stop light. At the time it stalled, the dash started flashing and gave me many warning lights. I was unable to put the transmission in park in order to try to start the vehicle again. After many attempts, I was finally able to place in park and start the vehicle. I then went thru a drive thru and it did the same thing and left me stranded in the drive thru lane without being able to start it for about 10 minutes. The next day, I was on my way to work and while traveling on the highway at 75 miles per hour, the vehicle stalled out, the dash wigged out and I lost all control of the vehicle including steering. The engine revved up to a higher RPM and I was unable to put it in neutral to try to slow it down and control the vehicle to a safe stop on the side of the highway. There were a couple of close calls with other vehicles due to the inability to control the steering or the engine speed. The next day, I took the Jeep to the dealership and when scanned for codes, there was over 150 codes including losing communication with the Body Control Module. Dealership test drove and the tech had the vehicle replicate the issues and leave him stranded 7 times in one day from and back to the shop. At this time, my concern is the safety of my family. For now it appears that the issue has been resolved, but there have been many similar instances reported with the same danger of crashing. Paperwork obtained from my dealership reflects there was a module that was replaced when the vehicle had less than 8,000 miles that was supposed to fix this issue, however it occurred to our jeep that had less than 25,000 miles on it. The paperwork also states "!!Attention!! This vehicle may have had 7 visits, 69 days down and 8 repeat repairs, service personnel should notify dealership service management and engage FCA service and parts resources." Doesn't this fall under the Lemon Law?

I am reporting the Jeep "death wobble". I have made an appointment to have the dealer look at the issue but experienced the death wobble on the interstate two different times traveling at 72 and 73 MPH. After going over a relatively small bump at 73 MPH going east on I-94 at right around mile marker 260 in Wisconsin, my Jeep shook uncontrollably until I reduced speed to under 40 MPH. Again, on my way home on I-94, my daughter hit a bump right around mile marker 246 heading west. The Jeep violently shook and she had to pull over and come to a stop. While we did not get into an accident, the need for rapid deceleration on the interstate absolutely could cause an accident. I am so disappointed in Jeep!

When I was driving on a plane road with no bumps my steering wheel started to shake violently making the whole car and dashboard shake. I-€™ve called jeep to inform them but they said it is not covered and there is no recall for my vehicle instead want to run a diagnostic and have me pay for the repairs and diagnostic even though it-€™s a leased vehicle.

Was driving interstate in San Diego, CA about 65 mph and on 4 different occasions when I hit a bump or rough patch of road the front end of the car and steering wheel started shaking violently. It was hard to control the vehicle and I had nowhere I could go because I was in traffic at high speeds. Was finally able to move over to a side lane and slow the vehicle down which caused the shaking to stop. No lights of any kind came on in the vehicle. Very dangerous for this to be happening on CA roads with such heavy traffic. Not only does it put me at risk, but others as I have to slow down to 40-45 mph for the shaking to stop. Will be taking it in to dealership for inspection. As I have researched...this appears to be another case of the "death wobble".

I have experienced the steering system death wobble routinely in my daily driving and it is reproducible. When it occurs three vehicle is no longer controllable until rewatching a speed below 40mph. Additionally, the vehicle now wanders more than it did originally with more effort to keep it going straight. Autopark Chrysler Jeep has inspected the vehicle and provided a list of repairs. The costs are exorbitant so only the steering damper was replaced for a cost of $700. The wandering has not been addressed.

I experienced the Jeep Death Wobble on 5 occasions. All five happened at 60 mph or above. The car would suddenly shake violently and felt like it was falling apart. I feared i couldn't steer it, which I had a hard time doing, until i calmed down and started braking. When i got to a slower speed it went back to normal. The front track bar was replaced and an alignment was needed again at 12,000 miles. I first noticed the car going out of alignment before this all happened, then the wobble followed at higher speeds. It was a very scary experience all five times. I read about it and found that the last few times when i hit a small bump it would activate the wobble until i slowed down. This is very upsetting for me as my daughter also drives the car and I feel it is now unsafe since the car is out of alignment once again after 3 months. Jeep needs to address this ASAP. The car has 13,000 miles and is a 2019.

On multiple occasions, as my Wife and two children 8 and 3 were on their way home from school the steering column locked up and my wife couldn't do anything but coast into a ditch. When the steering wheel locks up, each time it throws messages of loss of communication to the steering wheel, loss communication of the shifter, and loss communication to the brakes. This problem has happened three different times after the dealerships service department has put on multiple parts to try to fix the issue with no resolution. This is a huge safety issue, and we are terrified that this problem will continue to happen. The biggest concern is, what happens if the steering wheel locks up and we cannot avoid a serious accident that could harm our family or other motorists on the road. The manufacturer has recommended we put on abs control module, PCM, and Lower gear box. We have reached out to the dealership and to Jeep about this issue with no help given other than to pay out of our own pocket to fix the problem.

While driving with no warning the fuse array went bad causing the Jeep to lose all power including power steering and started jerk and pulsate. Everything turned off and left the vehicle stranded for several minutes in the middle of a dark street at night. Hazard lights did not work as well during this time. After continuously pushing the start button it started back up with the dashboard showing all different warnings with the clearest one in the middle of the dash reading -€œstop safely the vehicle will shut off soon-€ the vehicle was taken to the local dealership where it did the same thing for them. Later it was confirmed by them it was the fuse array.

While driving, the steering wheel power steering intermittently goes out. It does not matter whether the car has been warmed up or not. When turning or shifting lanes, it is very difficult to turn the steering wheel. On the highway this has almost caused an accident. The incident has been reported to one dealership once and to another dealership twice. Neither has experienced the issue while driving but I have encountered it lots of times. Without them experiencing the issue, they are unaware of any repairs required and none have been performed yet besides flushing the power steering fluid, which did not resolve the issue. This is definitely a safety issue.

Vehicle's front end violently shakes harmonically side to side when driving over 50 mph upon hitting uneven surfaces on highway and interested. When this occurs, the driver loses the ability to safely steer and must brake which is also unsafe to do on the highway or interstate. The harmonic vibration resonates until the speed is reduced to approximately 35 mph.

At any speed over 55 mph any bump or irregularity on the road causes the front tires to rapidly bounce up and down from the left side wheel to the right side wheel. There's almost zero steering control. Emergency braking to under 20 mph is necessary to stop the vibration and regain steering control. Sometimes a complete stop in the travel lane of a highway is necessary. The vehicle was purchased used with 18K miles. After 5K miles a vibration was felt at the front wheels anytime driving over bridge or overpass. At 30K miles the vibration/bounce occasionally required emergency braking. The closest dealer was booked during the Holidays and it was over 30 days for an appointment. During the appointment was told it was the steering dampener, a "known issue" but, the parts are on backorder, no ETA provided. The vehicle is currently unable to drive over 50 mph over any surface. Found almost 500 related posts online for this model vehicle going back to 1980. Why is there not a recall on this failing part?

This jeep has an awful steering issue. Keeping it in the lane im driving in is extremely hard. This vehicle has been looked at for this issue several times and jeep says do this or this and the jeep dealer still hasn't fixed the issue it has been a nightmare to drive i feel like im putting myself and others in danger because the steering issue on this 2019 jeep is extremely loose causing this vehicle to move all over the road. This vehicle is definitely dangerous to drive. If I break suddenly it's pulls majorly to the left and does a dip down if that makes any sense.im super careful not to break fast but in some instances its unavoidable.

Service Shifter warning showed up in center of dash and Check Engine light illuminated coming home from work on a Friday. Parked the car for the weekend, drove it to work Monday morning and there were no lights or warnings. Went to grab lunch 5 minutes away and on the way back, Service Shifter light pops up again (no CEL this time) and complete loss of power steering IN a two lane jughandle to cross a highway putting everyone in that jughandle and on the highway at the intersection at risk. Thankfully the light turned red so I could stop the vehicle. I shut it down, restarted it, and made it back to work. Took it to the dealership after work. 17 times the warning light flashed and chimed during the 30 minute drive to the dealership. They saw no warnings in the computer system and couldn't find a solution after examining the vehicle for almost two weeks. Service Shifter warning still on dash and I'm just waiting until it kills me, I guess?

Lost all steering while driving on highway coming up to a corner, extreme safety risk. Jeep repair facility can not diagnose and repair my vehicle and it has been out of service for over 6 months this year and its at repair facility unable to be repaired-STARS has been involved. Loss of steering while driving my 6 year old granddaughter, we almost crashed into another vehicle, could have been deadly for both of us, she now won't ride in any car feeling she will get in accident.

Death wobble where the Jeep shakes so violently that you can lose control. It has done this since new. I take it back to the dealer and they say Jeep is aware of the problem and they are working on a fix. Jeeps fix is a replacement steering damper. When I reported it to the dealer, I was told I had to wait until a fix was released. finally at 2125 miles they replaced the first damper. On the way home it death wobbled again. I had to wait again; at 2285 miles they replaced the track bar. The Jeep didn't handle or feel right but it didn't death wobble until Thanksgiving 2022 250 miles from home. I brought it back in and they replaced the steering damper again at 14668 miles. I was told by the service department there are over 6000 dampers on back order. This needs to be a recall since it affects thousands of Jeep Wranglers. My wife refuses to drive the Jeep.
