On my way to work it was dark and my eyes were burning. I could smell something electrical. When I got back in my Jeep to come home, I noticed the same smell and eyes burning. I looked down and noticed white smoke coming from my steering wheel. I took it to the dealer. They told me the wires melted, and I need to replace the clock spring or steering module, wheel and wiring for $1700. My vehicle just came out of warranty the month prior, so I have to pay out of pocket.
