Wrangler Anniversary 2.0l14dohc Di Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,000 miles

Not only does this brand new Jeep Wrangler shift into other modes while driving, I was driving at about 50mph on Highway 65 in the Ozarks when it shifted into manual and I could not accelerate. It was very scary, and the same thing happened again when I took it to the dealership in New Orleans, only it shifted into P. Because no codes appeared, the dealership was utterly useless. Why pay for a warranty? They said they couldn't even spend an hour on the issue unless codes appeared because Chrysler would not reimburse them for trying to figure out what was wrong. If this continues to be a problem and there's nothing to indicate it will not continue, I will hold the dealership and Chrysler responsible.

Additional issues with this car: • Cruise Control seems to alter speeds when setting it sometimes.

• Display & Monitor dims terribly when the wind shield wipers are on any setting. Seem to have fixed the Auto headlight setting but still happening on the other settings for the headlights.

• Video Cam intermittently doesn’t work when in reverse, screen is totally blank. Has happened approximately 10-12 times. This is not a one second delay, it can go in for hours sometimes and then just start again. Later, after driving, it will start working again.

• While using You Connect with the phone plugged in, the audio for Maps becomes completely indiscernible while the radio is playing.

• At the same time, Map will also not necessarily show up with details as seen on the phone on the monitor. Makes it difficult to follow the directions visually. This did not start happening until recently.
