Cadenza Premium V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,000 miles

Bought my Cadenza in May in San Diego California. When I first bought the car, I mentioned something about the AC not blowing cold when I first got in to the salesman. (Thought it was because the car needed to be driven before it got cooler).

I brought the car to AZ where summers reach about 100 degrees. On some days it feels like the AC doesn't even work. I recharged the AC but it either only blows cold while being driven for a long period of time or never cools the car down, if it is just a short commute.

It looks like other complaints suggest getting a new compressor? Please let me know if this resolved that problem.

Cadenza SXL 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 27,000 miles

When at idle, the air would shut off. Took it to the dealer who initially re-charged the system. That worked for about a week, or as long as the car didn't sit at idle. Took it back and they replaced the compressor. Has been working ever since, including at idle. Fingers crossed.

Update from Dec 13, 2021: Okay, it has now been over two years since the compressor was changed. As of 12/13/21 there have been no issues. Hope I didn't jinx it!

Cadenza Premium 3.3L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

The 2015 Kia has been in for A/C repair 4-5 times for the same problem not blowing cold air they replace various parts each time and got the A/C to blow cold air. On the 6 time I brought the car in for the same problem the service writer confirmed that the A/C was not working, he asked me the year of the car and I confirmed it is a 2015 and he said that he knows the problem because he also has a 2015 Cadenza and had the same problem. It was some sensor. So far in almost a year the same problem occurred again 1 time and I turn the car off started it and the A/C worked there is now 58,000 miles on the car. Will it still be covered under warranty for this reoccurring problem?
