Rear-end wiper goes off on its own for more then 30 mins. At first we didn't noticed it because it would do a few swipes, but then noticed there was so much water on the rear end of the vehicle which was strange. After a few weeks the problem became more and more noticeable. The rear end wiper starting going off as soon as we pressed on the brakes when starting the vehicle and it would gush out the wiper fluid along with it. It would go off after 10-15 mins and wouldn't turn back on.
But now after the problem has been going on for at least 3 months, it's goes off whenever we turn the signal on to either the left or right or when we press on the brakes and the wiper fluid still goes off as well with it even though it drains it completely. You can hear the motor sound of it from how drained it is. It's annoying how often the wiper goes off and the sound of the motor from the wiped fluid. Can't turn on any signal comfortably knowing the wiper and fluid will go off and the whole thing will continue to just malfunction.
Took it to Kia a month ago & they said they found no issues and could not see a problem with it. A week ago I drove the car to the Kia dealership and left the car on so they could see the issue and thankfully as soon as they turned the signals on, the rear wiper and fluid started to malfunction and there was no way of stopping it. They said they had never seen something like that happen before & will call once they can schedule the vehicle in for repairs. So we'll see what happens and what the issue has been.
