Grandsons were driving home from college on curvy mountain road. Suddenly heard a ‘pop’, lost steering and battery icon came on. Smelled smoke. Was able to get into the turnout. Got out to see a fire burning under the engine. Quickly took out their bags and contents, but watched the car burn before fire truck came to out out the fire. This is not normal. Car had been well maintained.
