Forte EX 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,000 miles

At stop, steering wheel has play when turned lightly. Knocks loudly when going over bumps and turning. Part can cause steering to lock up while turning and very unsafe. $13 part, $200 labor.

Forte EX 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

This is my wife's ride. The steering wheel mechanism will make a knocking noise that is felt more than heard. It seems to be getting worse, and is more noticeable when turning the wheel while stopped as opposed to turning while in motion. I will be taking it to a local dealer to have looked at while they fix two separate recalls.
