KIA CARS ARE JUNK!
Engine Failure Warning. Do not buy these cars. Terrible customer service.
At 105,000 miles (only 5k over the warranty) the engine just simply failed on the freeway with no warning or previous problem. Luckily nobody was hurt. Five months earlier the car had a full service. My mechanic said it was a complete engine failure for unknown reasons. I called Kia Customer Service to see what they could do. They had me tow it to a "Kia Dealer" for a diagnosis in which they came to the same conclusion (at an additional $300 expense). Kia said it would cost $10,000 to fix and they would contribute $500 towards fixing the car. The car isn't even worth that much! How can a 2015 engine just simply fail? How can a company not stand by their products and run a business this way?
Several people online have had the exact same problem. There needs to be a recall on this car before someone gets hurt!

I was driving approximately 65 MPH on the highway when I felt a shudder throughout my vehicle. I looked at my dashboard and noticed no engine lights, but the transmission was at 0 RPMs and my vehicle completely lost engine power at full motion. Luckily traffic was light and I was able to coast to the side of the highway. I tried turning the engine back over but no luck.
I was towed to the nearest Kia dealership and was told they would inspect the engine and get back to me. In the meantime, they did put me in a brand new rental. I had to make a few calls, as the updates were nonexistent. It wasn’t until about 2 weeks after they had my vehicle when I was told the engine needed to be replaced entirely. When I asked what exactly occurred, they said there was no way of truly knowing, but that my warranty would cover the entire cost. At the end of the day, the repair took a little over 7 weeks. I had a rental the entire time, which was also covered under warranty. I walked away with a new engine block and the car runs fine now.
