Forte EX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,500 miles

Engine started knocking despite regular maintenance. Have to have engine replaced. Repair expensive but more so because it is such a common problem that the engine is hard to find. Kia says there is no problem... right. I will get rid of this Kia as soon as it is repaired. I have another Kia that I will be getting rid of as soon as this problem is taken care of. No more Kia for me.

Forte LX 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,650 miles

Don't understand why my engine seems noisy on top end. Car only has 4,550 miles on it (Nov 2017) & am on my second oil change w regular oil checks. Dealer mechanic said typical sound for this engine but has me worried. Have owned many new cars w/o this much noise, especially with this few miles on it & so many other Kia complaints & manufactuer denials. Will have to keep an eye & ear on it & hope if something goes wrong, it will be still under warranty which ends in July 2018. Hoping for the best!
