This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Kia dealer.
I was driving my 2019 Kia Forte at 75mph, lowered my speed, then accelerated. A loud screech/grinding sound happened, then the car stalled completely. I was able to coast to the roadside, then re-start the car. I could not drive over 15 mph. The next day, the car was towed to the dealership. They kept it for 3 days, then informed me that they could not duplicate the problem. I suggested they examine the transmission fluid. I have yet to hear back.

I was stopped at a red light. I accelerated and felt a slight hesitation and then vibration from the vehicle. The car proceeded to become much louder and the car was shaking/rattling. I pulled over and the noise was coming from under the hood. I was able to make it home (a few miles away). I put the car in reverse at my house and tried to back up, which caused loud grinding noises. The next day I have my car towed to the nearest Kia dealership. They inspected the car and told me that the transmission mount was damaged and the bolts had sheered clean off. I told them that I believed that this should be covered under warranty as the mount must be defective. I don't believe a transmission mount should fail at 65550 miles. The dealership said that this would not be covered under warranty as they believed that it failed due to impact/damage to the transmission and transmission mount. I told them to replace the mount and am working to see if I am able to get this covered under warranty. I am the first owner and the car has 65550 miles on it.
