2012, kia forte koup.........sack of sh*t,,,,nothing but problems from 29000km onward.
last weekend did an oil change, ( one of many at my home). last night while driving under normal condition the engine stared knocking. pulled over shut it off and towed it home. this morning engine blown. ( i did not drive it after i got it home) i started it to hear loud knocks.......wtf.
i have serviced the oil and filter every 4000km. checked the oil level last night and oil is full.
if you have a choice to buy any other car, stay away from kia. cars are sh*t, service is sh*t and warranty is non
existent. this car has cost me well over $5000.00 to repair. that said anyone interested in buying a great running 2012 kia forte krap....lmao. thank god i have a good sense of humor........ please listen very closely, do yourself wallet and heart a favor stay away from this auto maker ,

I purchased my 2012 Kia Forte Koup new from the dealership. Took it to the dealership for scheduled oil changes and maintenance services. Never had a problem with this car until the engine started knocking. It has 116,000 miles and of course it is no longer under warranty. Contacted KIA corporate offices because I was told that the engine that the Kia Optima has is the same engine that this Kia Forte has. Kia extended the warranty on the Kia Optima but they do not include the Kia Forte.
This was the first KIA we purchased and were so happy, we purchased the 2018 KIA Stinger. I will never purchase a KIA again. Whenever possible, we will rid ourselves of the KIA Stinger. Horrible customer service and the most unreliable car I have ever owned.
KIA needs to recall the engines of the 2012 Kia Forte.
