K900

  • Automatic transmission
  • 105,000 miles

MY CAR'S AUTO/MODE ELECTRIC BREAK SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED. IT LOCKED UP TO WHERE I CAN'T DRIVE THE CAR. I CALLED KIA ABOUT THE PROBLEM BECAUSE I LOOKED ONLINE AND SAW I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM , BUT KIA IS REFUSING TO HELP FINANCIALLY TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AND MY WARRANTY COMPANY IS SAYING THEY DO NOT COVER IT.

I AM STUCK WITH A $2,621.84 REPAIR BILL. I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED WITH BOTH KIA AND WARRANTY COMPANY - THEY ARE BOTH USELESS/WORTHLESS. DO NOT BUY KIA WHATEVER YOU DO. THEY SUCK BIG TIME. I DON'T NEED EMPATHY I NEED MY CAR REPAIRED.

SIGNED,

VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER KIA CUSTOMER

shimmy while braking shimmy while braking

After leasing my Kia K900, a shimmy started whenever I pushed the brake pedal, no matter what speed, but extremely bad at highway speeds. I took the car in on July 28, 2015 with only 656 miles on it to have the dealership look at it. I already knew the rotors were warped and needed to be replaced. I was very weary at this point only having the car a few weeks having warped rotors - I mean if you're a car person, you know about the 1500 mile break in period, which I obviously had not hit that mileage yet. The dealership then proceeded to make me wait for about an hour because they didn't have a loaner. They ended up giving me a base Soul to drive while they resurfaced my rotors. First off, Kia's website clearly says that K900 owners will get a K900 or at least a Cadenza to drive as a loaner - that was FALSE!!!!!! After driving that piece of junk around for a day (no offense to anyone that has a Soul, but I'm used to a bit more luxury), they actually dropped of a base Cadenza to my office and picked up the Alien Green Soul. The Cadenza was dirty, the navigation system didn't work, and the gas light was on. Needless to say I wasn't happy about the loaner cars and especially the brakes on my K900. Finally on August 1, 2015, the dealership sent someone to pick up the loaner car and drop off my car. The service advisor called me to tell me that they had to order new rotors but resurfaced them so that I could actually drive my own car. But I would have to bring it back to the dealership to get the new rotors installed. After a week, the rotors finally came in and I dropped the car off once again at the dealership on August 6, 2015 so they could replace the rotors and a few other things (those will be mentioned in other complaints). On August 11, 2015, my service advisor called to inform me that my car was ready and that I could pick it up anytime I could. This actually fixed the problem, but the shimmy is slowly coming back and I have an appointment to take the car to a different dealership.
